This utility will create a new set of company files to be used as an additional company in a multi-company setup.
Note: This feature is only available if you purchased a FULL license for Payroll Solution. If you have a LITE license you will need to upgrade to the FULL license before you can execute this utility.
To Create a New Company
1.Select File, New Company
2.Click the Continue button at the confirmation message
3.A message indicating that User permissions will need to be re-established for the new company is displayed. Users who have Administrative rights will not have to be updated. Click OK
4.You are prompted to restart Payroll Solution. Click OK, then click File, Exit
•When you restart Payroll Solution, if this is the first additional company that you have created, you will notice a popup list of available companies for you to choose from.
•The default company, and any additional companies which have already been registered, will appear with their company name. The new company which was just created will appear as UNREGISTERED COMPANY in the company name (You will need to register this company as an additional company for the proper name to appear in this menu and on all reports, and for the company's NI number to be recorded and printed as well).
•This popup list also contains the volume identifier where the company's data files are stored. These are folders under the 'Payroll' folder which is under the main program folder (Default location would be: 'iWare\PayrollSolution\Payroll\DATAx', where x is a sequential number for each additional company).
1.Select the appropriate company and click OK. The default selection is the main or default company which appears at the top of the list. Clicking Cancel will exit Payroll Solution.
Note: This company will need to be setup (see Getting Started, Company Settings) before using it to process payroll data.
