Security in Payroll Solution is very flexible but secure. A user database with encrypted passwords is used to authenticate access to all system features and functions. Users may be granted permission to any combination of individual functions, or may be assigned the administrator right which grants permission to all functions in one step.
If a user does not have permission to execute a particular function, an override user ID and password is requested before denying access to the function. Another user with the appropriate rights may enter their ID and password to gain access to the function and the event is logged in a security log file with the particulars for later review by an administrator.
Note: There is a default user named ADMIN which must be used initially to gain access to the system and to create additional users. Only the user ADMIN may grant the administrator right to other users as an additional security measure. The default password for ADMIN is PAYROLL. This password should be changed immediately upon setting up the system for obvious security reasons.
